Talk: Ignite

Talk: Ignite

Back in 2011 I was really interested in a story called Thirteen Against the Bank, which described an allegedly true story of a team running a roulette system against a casino in France. It’s a fantastic tale, in the most literal sense.

I started researching the account in some detail, and at one point I hosted the most detailed discussion of this system online. I even ended up in the British Library looking for some very old and obscure books that the system claimed to be based on.

That’s all now long gone from this website, but what remains is this talk that I gave as part of a nice series called Ignite. This was my first time giving a PechaKucha talk, which was slightly nerve-racking but a fun experience overall. I don’t think I quite cracked it; maybe one day I’ll go back and try again.
